Eat My Words

I seem to remember a certain someone saying that all toys would be kept in Annalise's bedroom and the family room and not in the living room. Um, well, this is the state of my entertainment center in the living room now =).

Easter Eggs

On Sunday, Annalise decorated her Easter Eggs. Some she dyed and other she decorated with stickers. She loved it, especially decorating with stickers. She kept saying "More! More!".

I put this apron on her and she loved running around in it.

Starting off with 2 eggs.

Putting the first one in the dye.

Watching her Daddy turn an egg....

and then attempting to do the same thing. She dunked her whole hand though!

Concentrating on putting stickers on some eggs.

A sticker egg.

I really wanted to get a picture of me holding her with the eggs because we have one from last year. However, at this point all Anna wanted to do was grab the eggs that were drying off the rack, hence the squirming and the face. Oh well, this one will have to do until next year!

A Busy Afternoon

The other day Annalise had a busy afternoon. First, she walked around the yard with her bunny ears on, carrying her chalk.

Then, she decided to play with Riley.

When she was done with that, she wrote in the driveway with her chalk

Look at that, she even wrote her own name! Ha Ha!

She then began collecting pieces of spare wood from a project Stan was working on.

These last three are for everyone who thought that I would never let my kid get dirty. May I direct your attention to the mud and grass caked rear end climbing up the hill.

And this is how her rear end got mud and grass caked. After climbing up the hill, she thought it was a hoot to scoot down on her rear.

Kidsburg

On Saturday, Annalise and I met up with a friend and her daughter to go for a walk in the nice weather. After we were done walking, I took Anna over to Kidsburg. I don't know how soon we will go back there. Since it was a nice day, there were tons of people there and many big kids who were paying little mind to small ones around. I think for now we will stick to the little park nearby until she gets bigger. We did have a good time but I think she was almost plowed over at least 10 times when we were there.

Checking out the scene from the swings

This face makes my heart melt!

Contemplating her next move

Warming up to playing on Kidsburg by picking up mulch and dropping it. She thought this was entertaining.

I can tell by the hands and face that she is saying "Where did it go?" or "Oh no!"

Trying to hand me a dried up leaf and still warming up to making our way over to Kidsburg. There were many distracting things on our route =).

And so the true adventure on Kidsburg began. This is when I stopped taking pictures since I was by myself and had to keep close to her.

Do You Like My Outfit?

One thing that Anna LOVES to do recently is dig ALL of her clothes out of the bottom two drawers of her dresser. She added a new step to it the other morning though and kept asking me to help her put the clothes on. So, I kept layering on her all of the things she was asking me to put on. She then walked around and played with it all on for quite a bit. By the time I thought to grab the camera it was getting close to her late morning nap and she really was not in the mood for pictures so this is the best I could get. I even gave her the binky as a bribe to stand still long enough to take it! In all she has on two shirts, part of an open footie pajama, a pair of capri pants and a dress. In the beginning, she was very proud of herself!

Coloring with the Cousins

Last Friday, Stan and I went over to Williamsport to take his mom out to dinner. Afterwards, we stopped at his sister's house to visit for a little bit. Annalise had a good time "coloring" with her cousins.

Playtime OUTSIDE =)!

With the warmer weather recently, we have had Anna outside to play each day. Mostly she likes to just roam around the yard laughing at herself and looking for Riley's tennis balls. For some reason she also thinks it is really funny if I run full speed at her and stop at the last minute......actually the neighbors watching (and I know they do...for a fact) probably think it is pretty funny too. We need to get her some outside toys because really all she has at the moment are a few balls and her swing. I have a feeling the Easter bunny will be bringing her some =)! One thing is for certain, Annalise LOVES to be outside. I really cannot wait for summer because this momma LOVES to be outside too!

I found this dog in our yard....did anyone lose her?

Anna roaming free and laughing at herself

Looking for Riley's dirty, old tennis balls

Triumphantly finding a dirty, old tennis ball and completely grossing me out at the same time!
Let's just say there is a lot of thorough hand washing after our outdoor adventures!
