A Taste of Spring

On Friday, I had the day off of work.  With the temperature in the upper 50s, I couldn't resist taking Annalise to the playground in Lewisburg.  She had a good time playing and feeding the ducks!  It was soooo nice to get outside in the sun for a while!

This is only about 1/2 of the ducks that are usually there!
A little boy was nice enough to share his bread with Annalise since I didn't think to bring any
In the beginning, Anna was only tearing off tiny little pieces and throwing them
Once she started tearing pieces that were actually big enough for the ducks to get, the bread went quickly.  Here is she looking for more ducks before her bread is gone!
This was the last duck fortunate to get a snack!

Gotta Love the 'Do!

She is really going to appreciate these kinds of pictures when she is older! =)

Another Anna Funny

For Christmas, Annalise received a Hallmark recordable book from her Grammy.  Annalise has listened to the book so much that the other day when we got into the car out of the blue she said "Frosty The Snowman.  To my granddaughter, Annalise.  Read to you by Grammy".  This might be one of those "you had to be there" kind of things, but it was really funny!

A Couple of Anna Funnies

**We were looking through the Birthday Kids pictures in the newspaper.  This is a weekly thing for Annalise and I.  She likes to look at them and will ask me what each kid's name is.  We got to a little girl named Riley.  Annalise asked me the girl's name and I told her.  She looked at the picture again and then looked up at me puzzled and said "Mommy, that's not Riley!".  She was confused because that is our dog's name too!

**The other day Anna and I were going through her clothes which is still something that she likes to do frequently.  She also still likes to try things on too.  Anyway, Annalise looked at her outfit and looked in the mirror and turned to me and said "Mommy, you should always accessorize!".  This is line from one of her favorite Olivia books but it was really funny to hear her say.  Especially since it was in the right context!

Valentine's Day 2011

Annalise had a good time opening her Valentine's Day presents tonight!

Who Knew?

Who knew that playing on the couch could be so amusing?

Mischief

Whenever I have to go into the laundry room/storage room/computer room/dog room, Annalise just has to follow.  I think she likes this room so much because there is more there that she is not allowed to get into than anywhere else in the house.  A favorite of hers though is to climb in her backpack and sit for a while.  This is fine by me because it keeps her out of everything else!

A Valentine Craft

When Annalise and I were at the dollar store a few weeks ago I saw this kit for making Valentine magnets.  Knowing how much my daughter likes loves to glue, I knew she would be into them.  I don't think we are going to use them as magnets thought, I think I am going to punch holes in them and hang them from fishing line in her room.   I any event, here is our craft.  Did I mention how much she loves glue and really loves to squeeze the life out of the glue bottle?
 Checking it out
 We started with the bear
 Punching out the pieces

 Gluing......
 And more gluing......
 And more gluing....
Following directions pretty well about where to place the parts
The finished product!

A Birthday Party

Last Saturday Annalise went to her cousin, Samantha's, birthday party.  They had it in the basement of their church and Anna really enjoyed playing with the toys and roaming from room to room.  I think it is safe to say she also really enjoyed the cake and ice cream!
Annalise and her cousin Hannah that she talks about a lot!  Sometimes she calls her Uncle Hannah..... she's a little confused on that one!
 Annalise and her cousins
 Enjoying some delicious party food!
Playing with balloons on the couch
 Some reading with Uncle Dave
The book was "The Three Little Pigs".  Annalise talked about the Big Bad Wolf coming after that.
Her sweet ride for the party
Mmmm....cake and ice cream!

Play Doh

On my second snow day this week, I was trying to think of new things to keep Annalise occupied so I decided to make play doh with her.  I had never made it before but except for the color, it really turned out like real play doh.  At first she was apprehensive to touch it.  Once I convinced her to touch it I had to convince her to squeeze it.  Once she did though she loved it and played with it for quite a long time!
 A little squeeze
 and a little poke
 Smash!
 Adding food coloring
She pulled this stick thing out of the pantry (I have no idea what it is for or where it came from), stuck it in the Play Doh and called it a candle
