So, it definately has been awhile since I have blogged. No real reason, I just kind of got away from it in the summer time with everything going on. Then, even though we live high on a hill, we had surface water damage to our finished basement during the flood in September. At first I attempted to use the Shop-Vac to dry out the carpeting, but to no avail, we ended up having to rip it all out because the padding underneath was just too saturated. In addition to the carpet just being too saturated to be salvagable, from the moisture and humidity in the days following, mold was beginning to grow around the moulding. I knew at that point that the only answer to get everything dried out was to rip it out, soooooooo, rip it out we did. To rip everything out, the rooms had to be emptied out which included disconnecting my computer which had been in one of the downstairs rooms. I have not had internet at home since then which made an already-slow-to-update blogger even slower =).
So, fast forward to today, new carpeting is being installed and by the end of the week all of the rooms with be back into shape, including the computer with internet. I plan on updating the blog little by little as I have LOTS of pictures to add to it!

First Haircut
Two weeks ago, Annalise when for her first haircut. While she really doesn't have a whole lot of hair for being 2 3/4 years old, she really needed a trim to get off the scraggly ends. She did really well, which I was thankful for. She only got a little nervous once and that was when a few people she didn't know were talking to her and looking at her.
Before her haircut
(Why does she look so old in this picture???)
Anna liked the cape. I had to convince her to stop flapping it while she was getting her hair cut.
The first snip.
(I collected all of her hair that was cut off)
After. It is really hard to tell that if is even and straight across in the back. She had enough of sitting still at this point.
As Anna's "special treat" for doing a good job and being brave around the hair dryers (which she fears) =).
Anna's Photos
I was going through pictures on my camera the other day and this one was the first one that came up. I guess Annalise was snapping pictures again! I thought this one was funny.
Sesame Street
Emily gave Anna a box of books from when she was a kid. Annalise loves the Sesame Street books that were in with them. The first thing she wants to do each day is read at least one of them. These books go on walks with us, in the car, to the potty and pretty much everywhere we go! Anna even sleeps with them! Thanks, Em!
Meet "Woody"
Annalise recently went to Build-A-Bear for the first time and loved it! She was a little worried about the loud noise that the machine made that put the stuffing in the bear but other than that, she was into it! I think her favorite part was picking out the outfit at the end. She also liked kissing the heart and putting it inside, although she frequently asks me to "open Woody" so that she can "show me her heart" =). I didn't take any pictures while we were there, but this is her new friend!

New Shoes
Yesterday when Anna and I were getting ready to run errands I told her we needed to put her shoes on and told her to go get them. When she reappeared, she had my sneakers on! She thought she was quite funny!
