Easter Cookies
In addition to coloring eggs, Anna also enjoyed making and decorating Easter cut out cookies this year! She loves to bake with me and I love it too except when she gets a little wild with the ingredients at times!
Coloring Easter Eggs
For some reason I think we ended up with more cracked eggs year than any other, but Anna had a good time regardless!
She did have good time, honest lol!
Pretty Pretty Princess
One of Annalise's favorite games, other than Candy Land and Elephun, is Pretty Pretty Princess. I love it when she has the clip on earrings on. I don't know why but I think they look so stinkin' cute!
Easter Trees
Neighbors of ours always hangs plastic eggs on their shrubs. This year Anna asked to do the same so we did. Again, it was during that unseasonable warm stretch we had and we also enjoyed the evening outside that night with dinner on the deck.
St. Patrick's Day 2012
It was unseasonably warm on St. Patrick's Day this year. I had contemplated taking Annalise to a big parade on that day and for whatever the reason decided against it. Since it was so nice outside, it was the first time this year we ate lunch outside on the deck. Anna also enjoyed a green donut that day!
Sorry for this last one Obviously it was her idea for the photo and it still makes me laugh.

Funny Friday!
Like I stated previously, I really want to try to document weekly more of what Annalise says because unfortunately, I forget way too easily. So I am taking a break from the updating and sharing some snippets from the week:
1. The other day we stopped at the ATM machine to get money. Annalise calls paper money cash. Under no circumstances are coins cash, they are just money. I just wanted to clear that up because Anna is very insistent about that (incorrect) distinction between the two. Whenever I stop at the ATM Anna wants an envelope from it. On this particular day she asked for an envelope and asked for cash to put in it. I handed her a $1 from my wallet. As we were then driving down the road she was looking at the dollar bill and had this conversation with herself (which she is very good at doing and it is funny to listen to her ask herself questions and answer them).
"Oh, who is that on this cash?"
"This picture? I'll tell you who it is! It's George Washington! That's who it is!"
"Who is George Washington?"
"George Washington is the president. Yup, he's the president of North American Bloomsburg."
Close Annalise, but not quite =).
2. I had to go to a local campground to pick something up and as we were walking up to the office there had been a Momma cat and baby kittens relaxing on the porch. As soon as we got close, they all scattered except for one little one. It was timid, but fairly friendly and allowed us to pet it. At first Anna was moving around it really quickly and fast, which was making the kitten nervous so I told her she had to quiet and gentle, etc. She was doing well and petting it nicely while I was talking to the man from the office who had come outside to talk to us at this point. Anna got a little bored of petting it and began twirling around the porch (because of course she had a tutu on over her shorts) and lost her footing and just caught herself before she landed on the poor kitten. It startled me and I blurted out "Anna be careful you could have squashed the kitten!" She stopped twirling and in in a complete state of seriousness said "That's OK Mama, we could fix it."
No Anna, sorry. I know you have "super powers" because you tell me this on a daily basis, but we cannot fix a squashed kitten.
3. We were driving down the road and I had on one of her kid song DVD's. At the beginning of one of the songs the guy said "Do you wanna boogie?". A few seconds later Anna yelled "Ewwwwwwwww!" from the backseat. Being that it was a few seconds later I didn't really know what she was "ewwwwing" at so I asked her. Annalise, in a very disgusted voice said "He asked if I wanted a boogie!!!!!!"
I will spare you the conversation that followed about the distinction between a boogie from the nose and using the word boogie to refer to dancing ;).
4. On the 4th of July we went to a parade in the morning. On the way home we stopped quickly at a convenience store. Anna wanted to hold the cash which I let her do because she always wants to pay too. The total of the items we had purchased was 3 dollars an some change and had given her 5 one dollar bills so I told her to give the cashier 4 of the dollars, which she did. Anna didn't really say anything else until we got to the car. I went to buckle her in and noticed she was crying quietly. I asked her what was wrong and she said she was upset because she only had "1 cash left". I reminded her that we had to give the rest of it to the lady to pay for our items. Anna, who was hot and tired and hungry at this point, started BAWLING and belted out "but Mama, I want A LOT of cashes!" ("Cashes" is plural for the word cash in Anna-ese). I assured her she was not alone and that Mama would like a lot of cashes too.
5. Also on the 4th of July we were swimming and as we were swimming I was telling her a little about Independence Day. At one point I referred to it as America's birthday. Annalise said she wanted to sing Happy Birthday, so we did. We were singing it loudly to the part where you had to insert the name of the person who's birthday it is and she stopped singing. I sang "Happy Birthday dear Americaaaaaaa, Happy Birth-----". Anna interrupted me at that point and put her hands on my cheeks and stared me in the face and very seriously asked "Mama.....who the heck is America?" Sometimes the random, complete seriousness that overcomes her when she starts out being really silly makes the things she says sooooo much funnier!

My Old Watch
My mom recently came across my old Swatch watch from elementary school. Annalise likes to wear it around. Funny thing is, it still works!
