Planting Our Mums!

Today I had a great time planting our mums with Annalise.  She liked helping to shovel the dirt.....the only problem was that she not only liked to shovel the dirt from the bag to the pots, but also from the pots back to the bag!  It was really fun to have her helping me though even though it did end up taking almost two hours to plant 6 plants!  I will have to keep this in mind in the spring when we do planting.  I will probably have to leave open a week to get it all done with her "help"!
"I've got my gloves and shovel and I'm ready!"

Anna held the gloves the whole time and was very uninterested in putting them on.  It didn't matter though because she didn't touch the dirt with her hands at all.  She made sure that she was only touching it with the shovel.  I was using my hands for a lot of it and Anna kept saying "Oh noooo!  Mommy's hands are diiiiiiirty!" and "Mommy makin' a mess!  We clean it up!"

When we were almost done she decided to try to put them on.  Go figure!

Maylath's Farm

This weekend we went on a hayride to the pumpkin patch at Maylath's Farm.  Annalise enjoyed the hayride and especially enjoyed some of the other things they had at the farm.  It was a beautiful day to be outdoors for a little while!

Checking out the other people on the hayride.  Always soooo cautious about who is around!

 Walking through the pumpkin patch
While we got 8 pumpkins, this is the one we are going to carve!

Anna liked this blow up thing but this was as close as she would get to it!
Anna really enjoyed running through and climbing on the hay bales

This was interesting to say the least.
The "Apple Slingshot".  There were targets set up that the people were shooting at.
This thing was cute but Anna didn't go on it.  I thought that it went too fast and I didn't trust that she would stay seated on it.  She didn't mind missing out on it and just enjoyed watching it going around.
Anna really wanted to ride the pony....until it was actually her turn to do it.  She didn't really seem to mind the pony at first but REALLY minded the guy in the orange shirt and was grabbing for my neck as soon as he started talking to her.  There was nooo way that she was going around the ring with him!  Oh well, at least she got to pet the pony.
Anna also really liked the goats and thought it was really funny to watch them run after each other.  They were the most active goats I have ever seen!  Another favorite of hers was the big corn boxes to play in.  I didn't get any pictures of either because Stan walked up to get the truck so we didn't have to lug all of our pumpkins and took the camera with him.  Those goats sure were funny though!

Like My Hat?

Anna amused herself in the truck the other day by secretly unpacking a bag.  She gave herself up when we turned around and saw she had her hat on her head when it had been packed away in the bag!
She didn't notice me taking her picture yet.
Thinking she is clever for putting her hat on.
 "Mommy, no more pictures!"
"Ok, maybe one more!"
"Seriously, I am done with the pictures already!"

Football Game

On Friday night we went to the South Williamsport football game to see our niece, Samantha, in the marching band.  It was really cold and windy so we only stayed for a short bit but Anna seemed to enjoy the music from the band.  She bopped her head and did a little jig in the backpack every time they played a song.  These pictures are not the greatest.  I really dislike our camera, it is getting kind of old and we have needed a new one for a while.  These were the best I could get and I even put the camera on different settings, including "night setting".  Guess I should had new camera to my list of things to look into!

Annalise was so excited to see her cousin, Hannah again.

 Something was funny!

Haven't We All Had Days Like This?

I have no idea what this face was all about.
Crack. Me. Up.

Happy 6th Birthday, Hannah!

Our niece, Hannah turned 6 on September 30th.  Annalise had a great time at the party and especially liked singing Happy Birthday to her cousin.  In fact, she liked doing it so much that she continued singing "Happy Birthday dear Hannah" for DAYS afterwards!

 The yummy cake!

The birthday girl with her candles
 Time for gifts!
Annalise was occupied during gift opening with books (big surprise)!  She still also talks about the "birthday party with all the books" and asks to go back!  She had the whole self cleaned off by the time Hannah was done with her gift opening.

Is Anna Trying To Tell Me Something?

Last night Annalise really cracked us up.  She organized the things in her purse, snapped it closed and then announced to me that she was going to Wal-Mart.  I played along and said bye and told her to buy me something nice.  As she was "leaving" to go to Wal-Mart, which turned out to be the kitchen, she said to me that she was going to buy me some contacts (I think she meant contact solution).  Once out in the kitchen she poked her head around the corner to me and yelled "and deodorant!".  Was she giving me a hint?  =)   Of course because we laughed at her then the whole rest of the night she was saying "I buy Mommy deodorant!".

Touch the Sky

If only we all had as much optimism and the "I can do it" attitude of an almost 2 year old.  The other day Anna was looking at the sky.  She said "That the sky, mommy.  It blue."  She looked at it again and then said that she wanted to touch it.  I said "Oh, I don't know about that.  It is really high up there!"  Annalise thought for a moment, stretched her arms over her little head and stood on her tippy toes.  She said to me "I can do it, Mommy.  I try."  Keep trying, baby girl.  With that attitiude you will go far! =)

A Visit From Baby James

On Thursday, our friends Rammer and Shira and their son James came down for a visit. It was a great visit even though we were not able to go to the fair! Annalise just loves babies and was sooooo excited to see "Baby James".  She was very gentle and was so proud of herself that she helped to give him a bottle.  She also helped to changed his diaper by handing the wipes, etc to Rammer and she also helped to burp him!
James used Annalise's old Exersaucer while he was here.  It kinda made me sad because I can remember not too long ago how she loved it so!  Now she says "That for babies."

Being helpful with feeding James.  I have to admit I sooooooooo miss having a little baby around.  I just breathed in his little, cute, adorableness!
"Am I doing this right, Mommy?"
(I didn't know I was in these pictures, hence the fact that I am just talking and not looking at the camera.  I thought that he was just taking them of Anna and James).
So proud of herself for being such a big helper!
