Recipes and Reading

I often clip recipes from magazines or find ones I like on the internet and print them out. Most of the time though, I stash them in my recipe books and because they are not convenient to page through I forget about them and end up cooking the same things repeatedly. While cleaning out the kitchen pantry I found a bunch that I have collected and have never tried. I decided that I am going to start a new recipe binder and my goal is to make one new meal a week and two new desserts a month. I am so excited. Seriously. I am.
Also, since May when I finished my Master's Degree, I have been able to start reading for pleasure again which has been wonderful!!!! Since the end of May I have read Multiple Blessings by Kate Gosselin, Amazing Grace by Danielle Steele, You've Been Warned by James Patterson and Two Little Girls in Blue by Mary Higgins Clarke. I just started a new James Patterson.
Anyway the point of this post is to ask if anyone has any recipes or books they recommend trying let me know!

I'm a big Nicholas Sparks fan. I would recommend any of his books. As for a recipe...here's an easy one I make often (if you like keilbasa). It makes enough for about 6 people, so we usually cut it in half:
